Changing country is already big enough — the hard part is ours.
Our own team in Brazil conducts packing, documentation and shipment, and accredited agents of our international network perform customs clearance and delivery in South Korea — with supervision by our team at all stages.
The Korean exemption is in Article 96 of the Customs Act and is declared on the Moving-Goods Declaration Form, the Annex Form No. 1 of the Korea Customs Service. It requires two points to be proven in the inventory: the goods must have been owned and used for more than 3 months, and the shipment must arrive within 6 months of your entry into the country. We date the inventory at packing and schedule the shipment to fit this window, because missing the deadline is what most frequently causes a move to be taxed on this route.
We handle the export documentation in Brazil and monitor the clearance with the Korea Customs Service through the ports of Incheon and Busan, including assembling the dossier proving ties to the country and the Alien Registration Card. You do not need to worry about bureaucracy — we take care of everything.
We deliver your move in Seoul, Incheon, Busan, Daejeon, Daegu, Ulsan and other regions, including Gyeonggi and Jeju. From your address in Brazil to the door of your new home in South Korea, with unpacking and furniture assembly.
We pack your belongings with high-quality materials and professional techniques. Furniture, electronics, works of art — all protected with the utmost care.
Your relocation travels protected with international insurance that covers the entire route — from collection in Brazil to delivery in South Korea.
We carry out the pre-move survey of your belongings by video call, without the need for an in-person visit. Practical, fast and without obligation.

We serve the entire country; contact us to find out the exact transit time for your city.
Estimated door-to-door transit times, subject to the shipping line's or airline's schedule. They include collection, packing, customs clearance at origin and destination, and final delivery. The transit time for your move is confirmed in the quote after the service and route are defined.
Customs framework for the route: We conduct the route with the Moving-Goods Declaration Form of the Korea Customs Service and the exemption under Art. 96 of the Customs Act, which requires a minimum possession of 3 months and arrival of the cargo within the six-month window.
The times above are door-to-door and include collection and packing at the origin residence, cargo consolidation, waiting for the ship’s departure window, the crossing, customs clearance at both ends and final delivery with furniture assembly. We publish it this way because it is the timeframe you actually experience. Port-to-port times published by carriers may seem shorter because they only cover sailing time, without customs, collection or delivery.
What Korean and Brazilian customs require, with the name of each document and the responsible agency.
Receita Federal do Brasil
Export registration of unaccompanied baggage, conducted by our in-house team in Brazil, with issuance of the bill of lading in the name of the owner. One Moving hires and coordinates the customs broker and oversees the release from end to end, for your convenience.
Complete list of items, volume by volume, with description, estimated value and, on this route, special attention to the date of acquisition. South Korea requires prior use of more than 3 months to grant customs duty relief, and items acquired less than that time are taxed. We perform this screening during packing, and the entire preparation is managed by One Moving, for your convenience.
Visa, employment contract or a document demonstrating intent to reside in the country. It is the basis for the right to customs duty relief under the Korean regime and must be consistent with the declaration presented on arrival.
Korea Customs Service
The declaration of moving goods in Korea is made using the official Annex Form No. 1 of the Korea Customs Service, submitted in the name of the person relocating to the country. Completion and filing are managed by One Moving, with support from our accredited agent, for your convenience.
Customs clearance requires presentation of the Alien Registration Card issued by Korean immigration or, prior to its issuance, the visa, accompanied by an employment contract or a document certifying the passport's validity. Without this documented link, the declaration does not proceed. We check this pending item in the initial review, managed by One Moving, for your convenience.
Goods used abroad for more than 3 months are exempt from taxes, except those subject to mandatory taxation. Goods with less than 3 months' use are taxed, and omission results in an additional penalty of 20% on the tax due. We record this information in the inventory to support customs analysis.
Jewelry, pearls, ivory and similar items with a value above KRW 5 million per unit are subject to mandatory taxation, even if used. We identify these items in the inventory before shipment, because correct declaration at origin prevents fines on arrival. This screening is managed by One Moving, for your convenience.
South Korea applies an objective criterion. Goods used abroad for more than 3 months are exempt from customs duties, except those subject to mandatory taxation. Goods with less than 3 months of use are taxed. And there is an aggravating factor: failing to declare items acquired less than 3 months ago results in an additional penalty of 20% on the tax due. That is why the date of acquisition is included in our inventory from the time of packing.
This is the most route-specific particularity and the costliest mistake one can make. The vehicle exemption in South Korea applies only to vehicles that were originally exported from the country, usually identified by plates starting with K. Any other foreign vehicle, even meeting the 3-month possession requirement, is subject to mandatory taxation estimated at approximately 19% for engines up to 1,000 cc and 24% above that, on the customs value plus freight and insurance. In addition, the limit is one vehicle per family, and it must have been registered abroad in your name or in the name of an accompanying family member for more than 3 months before entry.
The goods must arrive in South Korea within 6 months counted from the date of your arrival in the country. As maritime transit on this route takes 50 to 70 days, the window is comfortable, but it requires that the shipment be planned together with the flight date, not after it.
For foreigners and Koreans coming from abroad, the regime presupposes the intention to live in South Korea for at least 1 year, or 6 months when the move involves accompanying family members. That intention must be supported by a visa, employment contract or equivalent document, and is examined at customs clearance.
Jewelry, pearls, ivory and similar items with a value exceeding KRW 5 million per unit are subject to mandatory taxation regardless of length of use. This is a category that frequently appears in household moves and must be declared correctly at origin.
South Korea operates on 220 V, with Type C and F outlets, European standard. For those departing from Brazilian regions on 220 V, the voltage is compatible and the issue is limited to the plug. For those departing from regions at 127 V, motor-driven equipment requires evaluation. We review item by item in the inventory.

Legal basis: article 96 of the Customs Act. Information verified in August 2026; we confirm the conditions of your case before shipment.
Both modalities serve the Brazil — South Korea route. The choice depends on volume, urgency and the value of the goods.
Ideal for complete moves with large volume. Best cost-effectiveness to transport furniture, appliances and all your belongings.
For those who need speed. Perfect for smaller volumes, urgent items, or partial moves that cannot wait.
We know that moving country is an important decision. Therefore we take care of all the logistics of your move so you can focus on what really matters: your new life in South Korea.
Our team accompanies every step of the process, ensuring safety, organization and predictability.
The most frequent doubts on the route, answered based on the official rule.
By sea transport, the transit time is 50 to 70 days, and by air, 15 to 30 days. These times are door-to-door: they include collection and packing at your residence in Brazil, consolidation of the cargo, waiting for the ship's departure window, the crossing, customs clearance at both ends and final delivery in South Korea with furniture assembly. They should not be compared with port-to-port times published by carriers, which cover only the sailing time.
Goods used abroad for more than 3 months are exempt from customs duties, based on Article 96 of the Korean Customs Act, except for items subject to mandatory taxation. Goods used for less than 3 months are taxed. Vehicles, jewelry and high unit-value items follow their own rules. That is why the acquisition date of each item is included in our inventory.
Because South Korea uses length of use as an objective criterion for the exemption. More than 3 months' use abroad guarantees the exemption; less than 3 months results in taxation. And there is an expensive detail: failing to declare goods acquired less than 3 months ago results in an additional penalty of 20% on the tax due. We perform this screening during packing, item by item.
It is the official declaration form for moving goods of the Korea Customs Service, the Annex Form No. 1. It must be submitted in the name of the person moving to Korea. Completion and filing are carried out by us, with support from the local accredited agent, so that you do not have to handle the Korean customs procedure.
You need to present the Alien Registration Card issued by Korean immigration or, prior to its issuance, the visa accompanied by an employment contract or certificate of passport validity. Without this documented link, the declaration of moving goods will not proceed. We verify this pending item in the initial analysis before shipment.
The goods must arrive within 6 months counted from the date of your arrival in the country. As maritime transit consumes 50 to 70 days, the window is comfortable, but the shipment needs to be planned together with your flight date. We work with this deadline from the initial timeline.
You can import, but almost certainly with taxation. The Korean exemption applies only to vehicles originally exported from Korea, generally identified by plates starting with K. A Brazilian car, even with more than 3 months of registration in your name, is subject to mandatory taxation estimated at about 19% for engines up to 1,000 cc and 24% above that, calculated on customs value, freight and insurance. The limit is one vehicle per family. This is the costliest mistake on the route when not planned, and our team advises on feasibility case by case.
Yes. Dogs and cats aged 90 days or older coming from countries not free of rabies, such as Brazil, require an ISO-standard microchip and a rabies virus neutralizing antibody test with a minimum titre of 0.5 IU/ml performed in an approved laboratory. With correct documentation the animal is released the same day. With irregular documentation it may be placed in quarantine, averaging 10 days, at the owner's expense. Entry is via the airports of Incheon, Gimhae and Gimpo or via the ports of Incheon and Busan. Preparation begins months before the flight, conducted by our pet department. We have already transported more than one thousand animals.
Firearms, knives, ammunition, radioactive materials, narcotics, endangered animals, counterfeit products, commercial goods, pornographic material and illegal monitoring equipment. Jewelry, pearls, ivory and similar items above KRW 5 million per unit are not prohibited, but are subject to mandatory taxation. We review the inventory against both lists before shipment.
In Brazil, collection, packing, the inventory with acquisition dates and export documentation are conducted by One Moving’s own team. In South Korea, the Moving-Goods Declaration Form, customs clearance with the Korea Customs Service, final delivery and assembly are carried out by accredited agents of our international network, under supervision of our team. The sorting of goods by length of use, which is the typical bottleneck on this route, takes place here in Brazil before shipment.
